If you want to enjoy some great music in royal surroundings, you must check out the Hampton Court Palace Festival, held on the 7th - 24th June. Artists such as Will Young, Van Morrison, Michael Ball and Jamie Morrison will take to the stage, which will be set in the palace’s gorgeous and historic grounds. This stunning Tudor palace has an atmospheric courtyard and makes for a beautiful venue to enjoy live music, especially in the balmy summer evenings.
The South Bank is also one of London’s most vibrant and lively areas in the sun, and is playing host to a summer-long festival of music and comedy called the Underbelly Festival. Part of the Royal Greenwich Festivals, the annual Greenwich+Docklands International Festival, being held from the 23rd June till the 8th July, is a great day out for the whole family. One of London’s largest free outdoor festivals, you can experience open-air theatre, dance, art installations and music. There is a very extensive programme, and the festival takes place across Royal Greenwich, Docklands and Tower Hamlets.
