ABOUT THE APARTMENT
They say the kitchen is the hub of any house, and with this 1 bed property in central London, it's literally the case as the kitchen is right in the middle of this delightful property.
Accessed via a flight of stairs from the entrance hall of a grand development on the edges of Kensington Gardens, here's a home that's the ideal base for anyone wanting to live in central London and be surrounded by the style of one of London's premium neighbourhoods.
THE KITCHEN
Let's start with the room in the centre of the house. It's separate from the living area, and has a dishwasher and washer/dryer among its modern appliances. If you're planning to cook your own meals, everything's here, but don't forget there are plenty of delightful restaurants in the local area to choose from.
THE LIVING ROOM / DINING AREA
Here's where you can all gather to review the day's events and make plans for tomorrow. There's a sofa and two armchairs to choose from, all offering good views of the apartment's television. Also in here, a dining table with chairs, great for enjoying any snacks or meals you've prepared in that kitchen. The table is just as handy for work, as well as card/board games if you're into those.
BEDROOM WITH KINGSIZE BED & ENSUITE BATHROOM
You'll sleep in style and comfort in this apartment in a beautifully presented kingsize bed. An integrated wardrobe/closet ensures there's space to hang clothes and store bags, while the ensuite bathroom with a shower over the tub and a WC and wash basin ensures you won't have far to go to freshen up each morning, ready for a new day of living the central London lifestyle.
THE LOCAL AREA
The apartment is located very close to Kensington Gardens in west London, where you'll find Kensington Palace and the Diana Memorial Fountain. Next to this is Hyde Park, one of London's largest green spaces and home to all kinds of events all year round. Other places nearby you might want to visit include:
Oxford Street and Bond Street - these are popular shopping districts in central London
Knightsbridge - here you'll find the famous department store, Harrods.
Portobello Market - one of London's most famous markets is just a short distance away.
3 Big Museums - The Science Museum, the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Natural History Museum are all close together just off the Cromwell Road and all well worth a visit.
The Royal Albert Hall
Book to see a performance here and you won't have far to travel from the apartment to get to your seats.
GETTING AROUND
Being so centrally located means it's perfectly possible to walk to so many places in the local area. But if you want or need to travel further afield, plenty of buses serve the local area, and you shouldn't have to wait long to find a taxi to take you wherever you need to go (try the Bayswater Road).
As far as the tube network goes, Notting Hill Gate is the station nearest the apartment. It's from there that you can ride on Central, District and Circle Line trains. These are the red, green and yellow lines on the London Underground map. A quick look at that map will show you how many different places you can get to on these lines, including Paddington (for trains to Heathrow Airport), Victoria (for trains to Gatwick Airport) and King's Cross St Pancras (for Eurostar trains to mainland Europe).
